Leah Bueno, DOMP, COMT, MMP

Manual Osteopath

Dance Rehabilitaiton Specialist

Sacramento Ballet Company Therapist

Hi! I’m Leah, founder of Performance Pilates & Rehab. I started this practice on the belief that every person deserves not just to recover from injury, but to feel strong, resilient, and able to keep doing the things they love.

Unfortunately, as a professional dancer I experienced many injuries throughout my career. Luckily, I had the opportunity to rehabilitate in different countries and experience a wide variety of approaches to care. It was the Osteopathic approach to rehab, looking at the whole body, that ultimately helped me heal chronic injuries no one else could figure out. This is where my passion for holistic rehab began.

At Performance Pilates & Rehab, our approach looks at the whole body to uncover the root cause of pain or dysfunction. That shoulder pain, hip stiffness, or back issue may all be connected, and it’s our job to identify those links. By combining European-style osteopathy, Pilates-based therapy, and performance training, we don’t just treat symptoms—we help you build strength, confidence, and long-term resilience.

My dream has always been to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and truly cared for. A place where rehab and performance meet, and where you’re guided through the full journey: from injury care, to recovery, to becoming stronger than before. Thank you for trusting us with your care.

Brooke Mathe, MS, CSCS

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Dance & Athletic Performance Specialist

Sacramento Ballet Company Coach

Hi I'm Brooke! I hold a BFA in Dance and a Master’s in Exercise Science, and I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals—from people managing chronic conditions to athletes across various sports, including dancers.

In addition to my coaching work, I serve as an Adjunct Professor of Dance and perform as a dancer with the Linda Bair Dance Company. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the unique physical and mental demands that performing artists face.

My passion lies in bringing sports science best practices into the dance world to build a culture that is healthier, stronger, and more sustainable for performers at every level.

I am truly thrilled to be part of Performance Pilates & Rehab, working alongside Leah, and to continue pursuing my mission of helping dancers and athletes move, perform, and thrive with strength and resilience.
