WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?

Osteopathy is widely used throughout Europe and Canada to treat joints, muscles, and connective tissue through non-invasive manual therapy. Leah Bueno is a Canadian-trained Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and uses Osteopathy to maximize the body's natural healing potential. European-style osteopaths are trained in traditional osteopathic techniques and focus on the musculoskeletal system. These techniques are intended to treat soft tissue and joints to lessen pain, reduce inflammation, and increase range of motion.

Osteopaths believe everything is connected and important. In each session, we will identify areas of the body that are restricted and then ease those restrictions to permit normal function. Your initial treatment will include a thorough history, an overall physical exam, manual therapy to correct the areas of the body that are predisposing the person to the injury, and finally an exercise home program to facilitate your recovery.
